How do I make a deposit via bank transfer in Europe?

Once we know a little bit more about you (aka verifying your identity), you’ll be able to fund your Luno wallet by making a bank transfer.

Note

Bank transfers might be temporarily unavailable for some customers. If you don't see the option to make a deposit via bank transfer, try buying crypto directly with your card instead.

Your deposit should reflect in your wallet within two business days once your bank has made the transfer.

Here's how

  1. Sign in to the Luno app

  2. Select Wallets

  3. Open your local currency wallet

  4. Select DEPOSIT

  5. Select Bank transfer from the options

  6. Enter the amount you'd like to deposit and select NEXT

  7. Next, you’ll see a deposit reference (starting with BX or LN) as well as other details displayed to make your deposit

  8. Open your banking app

  9. Add Luno as a beneficiary in your bank's beneficiary management section

  10. Make a transfer from your account to Luno's account

  11. Enter the reference code in the "reason" or "notes" field of the transfer

  12. You’ll receive a push notification once your deposit reflects in your wallet

Success! You’ve made a deposit and can now buy cryptocurrency.
