How do I get my e-invoice from Luno Malaysia?

As part of Malaysia’s regulatory requirements, Luno sends retail and business customers in Malaysia a monthly e-invoice PDF, containing your transactions for the past month.

How the e-invoice PDF works

What it is: The attached PDF you receive contains a list of all the types of transactions you made in the previous month, along with totals and taxes. It also includes a QR code that you can scan to verify that the e-invoice is valid.

When you get it: You will receive your e-invoice via email on the 7th of every month for the previous month’s transactions, starting from July 2025. For example, the e-invoice for January is sent on 7th February.

How to open it: The PDF is password-protected. To open it, you will need to enter a password:

  • Retail (individual) customers enter the last 6-digits of your MyKad number.
  • Business customers enter the last six digits of your company's Tax Identification Number (TIN).

What each column means

Each transaction for the month is recorded on the e-invoice, as seen in the example image below. When Luno earns a fee on a transaction, that fee includes an 8% Services Tax (SST) where applicable. All these amounts are included in the e-invoice.

  • Description: The recorded transaction that took place.
  • Transaction amount: The amount that was transacted in MYR
  • Fee excluding tax: The fee on the transaction (in MYR) excluding the Services Tax (SST) portion of 8%.
  • Tax amount: The 8% Services Tax (SST) portion of the total fee, where SST is applicable.
  • Fee amount: The total fee the customer paid to Luno, which includes the 8% SST where applicable.

Each column also has a Total, adding up the total fee and tax amounts for the whole month.
