Luno rewards your loyalty. Each new month that you buy or sell crypto counts as progress towards your next level – no need to invest consecutively. Earn even more Bitcoin by referring friends and family. Start accumulating active months and cash in on bigger rewards today.

How do I level up?

There are a total of three levels:

Level 1 - Once you’re signed up and verified

Level 2 - Buy or sell once a month for a total of 6 months

Level 3 - Buy or sell once a month for a total of 12 months

Once you’ve met the qualifying criteria, you’ll be notified of your new level.

Note

  • Only instant buy/sell transactions, which you complete from your Portfolio screen, count towards levelling up. In other words, Luno Exchange orders don't contribute to your rewards level.
  • Remember that active month records and transactions towards reward levels are monitored based on the UTC +0 timezone, regardless of region.
  • Once signed up and verified, the person you referred must buy the specified amount of cryptocurrency on Luno in order for you both to receive the Bitcoin reward.

Here’s all the legal stuff you need to know about earning rewards with Luno.

How do I refer someone and get rewarded?

  1. Navigate to the Rewards screen on the Luno app or website
  2. Select Refer and select Share your code
  3. They sign up, verify their account, enter your unique code, and buy the specified amount of crypto
  4. You’ll both get rewarded with crypto relating to your reward level

You can keep track of how many people you've referred and pending rewards in the Rewards tab on the Luno app or website.

Note

Rewards will expire after 3 months, if unclaimed. We urge you to visit the Luno app regularly to check when your Bitcoin is ready to claim.

Unfortunately, neither of you will receive your free bitcoin reward if they don’t buy the specified amount of crypto.

How much crypto does the person I refer need to buy?

This differs depending on your country. You’ll find the exact amount by selecting How it works on the Refer friends screen.

I referred someone, why don’t I see the reward?

It could be that the person you referred is not a new customer, did not buy the specified amount of crypto, or did not use your unique referral code within 30 days of account verification. If you think we made an error, please contact us.

What types of transactions count towards levelling up?

For the month to count towards your level-up, you must buy crypto or sell crypto at least once in that month.

If I don’t make any transactions for a while, will my level be downgraded?

No, we understand that your financial situation and crypto appetite might change from time to time. You won’t drop down a level or lose any months of progress, even if you take a break from transacting on Luno.
