After signing up with Luno, you'll need to verify your identity before you can make a deposit or buy cryptocurrency. You can verify your identity by following the steps below.
Here's how

Sign in to your Luno account

Select Profile from the menu

Navigate to Settings

Select Verification

On the next screen, select CONTINUE

Add your proof of identity, and follow the on-screen prompts from there
Document guidelines (if applicable)
When prompted to take a picture of your identity document, please submit a high-quality, colour photo. The document should clearly show your identity number, full name, date of birth, and a clear ID photo.
You'll also need to take a clear selfie of your face, which we use to compare with your identity document.
Note
Some countries may have integrated verification systems that don't require documents.

We're not able to accept black-and-white or low-quality photos/scans, or screenshots of identity documents

Only submit documents that belong to you. The information on your identity document should match the information you signed up with

Your identity will usually be verified in a few minutes, but it may take a day or two in rare cases
Luno helps customers in our supported countries to buy, sell and store cryptocurrencies. You can upgrade your account securely using Luno on Android, iOS, the web; or by navigating to Settings when you're signed in to your account.
Account levels
In some of our supported countries, there are different account levels, with deposit and withdrawal limits that apply to each level. You can find out if your country has account levels.
