If you’ve forgotten the email address associated with your Luno account, don't worry. This guide will help you locate your registered email address.
Tip
Avoid creating a duplicate Luno account. Luno allows only one verified account per person, and any additional account, even if you complete identity verification (KYC), will be suspended as a duplicate account. The fastest and easiest way to regain access and continue buying, selling or investing in cryptocurrency is to recover your original Luno account.
Step 1: Check your existing email account
The quickest way to find your login is to search your inboxes for previous Luno communications.
- Open your email accounts (check all personal and work addresses you use)
- Search for the subject line: "Welcome to Luno"
- Check for any sender ending in @luno.com if the subject line search doesn't show results
If you’ve lost access to your email account:
If you know which email you used but can't log into it, use the relevant provider's recovery service:
- Gmail: Use Google’s Account Recovery to find your account using your mobile number
- Outlook: Use Microsoft's Account Recovery to find your account using your mobile number
- Yahoo: Use Yahoo Account Recovery to find your account using your recovery email or phone number
Step 2: Check your saved passwords
Your device might have the answer saved for you. If you ever allowed your phone or browser to save your Luno login, you can find the email there:
- On iPhone/Mac: Go to Passwords and search for "Luno"
- On Android/Chrome: Go to your Google Password Manager and search for "Luno"
Step 3: Try "Continue with Google or Apple"
Sometimes you may have signed up using a social account rather than a manual email and password. On the sign-in page, try selecting Continue with Google or Continue with Apple. If an account exists under those credentials, you will be logged in automatically.
Step 4: Contact Support to verify your identity
If you still can’t access your account, find any emails from Luno or access your account, our support team can help you identify your login details.
To keep your funds safe, we must verify that you are the rightful owner of the account. This prevents unauthorised users from attempting to gain access.
When you reach out, please provide:
- Your ID or Passport number
- The mobile number you think you used when signing up
Note
To protect your account, we may also require a selfie of you holding your identity document. This allows our team to securely confirm your identity and restore your access.
