Who can use this feature?
This feature is currently only available in South Africa and Nigeria, on web or app version 8.88.0 or above.
It’s easy to buy or sell tokenised stocks or ETFs with Luno. Simply select the stock you want to buy or sell, enter the amount and you’re on your way. Follow the steps outlined in this article for a smooth experience.
Note
You’ll need to fund your ZAR wallet first to buy stocks.
How to buy stocks
- Sign in to your Luno account
- Select BUY
- Select Stocks or ETFs
- Choose the asset you’d like to buy
- Enter the amount you’d like to buy and select NEXT
- Review the transaction details, accept the terms and conditions and then select CONFIRM if you’re happy
- If you’re using the Luno app, you’ll need to use biometrics or enter your Luno PIN to finalise the transaction
Congratulations, your stock investment has been added to your wallet.
How to sell stocks
- Sign in to your Luno account
- Select SELL
- Choose the asset you’d like to sell
- Enter the amount you’d like to sell and select NEXT
- Review the transaction details, accept the terms and conditions and then select CONFIRM if you’re happy
- If you’re using the Luno app, you’ll need to use biometrics or enter your Luno PIN to finalise the transaction
That’s it, you’ve just sold some of your stock investment.
