Why does the ticker end in an ‘x’?

xStocks or tokenised stocks are digital versions of real company shares or ETFs that live on the blockchain. Instead of buying shares through a traditional broker, you buy tokens that track the price of the actual stock. These tokens are backed by real shares held by a regulated custodian, so their value moves with the market. If the stock price goes up or down, your token follows.

The token ticker has an ‘x’ in it to distinguish it from the underlying real-world asset it represents.
