Apple Pay deposits are currently only available to Luno customers in South Africa with verified accounts and supported Apple devices.
Apple Pay is a fast, secure, and convenient way to deposit money into your ZAR wallet. using your Apple device, such as an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Instead of entering your card details each time, you can pay using a card saved in your Apple Wallet and confirm the transaction with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode.
How to deposit using Apple Pay
You can deposit using Apple Pay directly from your Luno app.
- Open your Luno app and go to Portfolio
- Choose ZAR wallet
- Select Deposit
- Select Apple Pay as your payment method
- Enter the amount you want to deposit
- Confirm the deposit amount and fee
- Select Pay on the MoneyHash screen to complete the deposit with Apple Pay
That’s it! Once the payment is approved, your deposit will be processed.
Apple Pay fees
A 2.5% fee applies to deposits made using Apple Pay. This fee is deducted from the deposit amount before the funds are credited to your wallet.
When will my deposit reflect?
Once your payment is approved, the funds should appear in your ZAR wallet immediately in most cases, but can take up to 24 hours.
