Ask Luno to remove your trusted device for you

If you were redirected to this article while trying to recover your Luno account, it means our support team will need to manually remove your trusted device for you – after completing some security checks.

Press the button below to get started:

Remove my trusted device

What happens next?

After you’ve submitted the request form:

  • A security expert from our support team will review your account to confirm there’s no suspicious activity.
  • We may phone you or email you with instructions to verify your identity.
  • We’ll aim to complete the whole process within 24 hours or less.

Why is this necessary?

We’ve introduced this temporary protective measure to ensure your funds remain safe. Your trusted device is a critical security factor, so we want to make sure it’s really you making this request, not an attacker who might have gained access to your email or SMS inbox.

Additional security actions you can take

  • Check your email for any unexpected device confirmation emails from Luno, as that could indicate unauthorised access. Never approve these.
  • Keep your software and apps up to date

Note

Luno will never contact you unexpectedly and request you remove a trusted device, deactivate two-factor authentication (2FA), or delete a passkey. We will never ask for your password, 2FA codes, or for you to install any additional software.
