Private Company (Sdn Bhd) requirements
1. Nature of business (and website)
What we need: A description of what your business does and how it generates revenue. If the company has a website, please also provide the URL.
2. SST number
What we need: If the business has registered for Sales and Services Tax, kindly provide the business’s SST number.
3. Company registration documents
What we need: Certified true or duly notarised copies of the following documents (not older than 3 months):
- Certificate of Incorporation/Registration;
- Notice of Registration by Companies Commission of Malaysia;
- The latest Form 49 – Particulars of Directors, if available;
- The latest Form 24 – Return of Allotment of Shares, if available; and
- Company Constitution, if available.
4. Corporate profile
What we need: The latest Corporate Profile extracted from Companies Commission Malaysia (SSM), not older than 3 months, and the Section 14 – Application for Registration, if available.
5. Proof of address
What we need: A recent utility bill reflecting the business’s operating address (not older than 3 months), if different to the registered address.
6. Shareholding / ownership
What we need: A signed ownership chart reflecting information on all individuals holding 5% or more shares in the company.

Detailed requirements:
For each individual holding 5% or more shares, the chart must include: i) full name, ii) percentage of shareholding, iii) contact details (phone number and email address), and iv) residential and mailing address.
7. Resolution
What we need: A certified true copy of the board resolution signed by the directors that confirms which individuals have authority to act on behalf of the business and operate the Luno account. These individuals are known as the Authorised Officials.

Detailed requirements:
The resolution must:
- Be signed and dated by all directors;
- State it is a directors’ resolution;
- Contain the business’s full name and registration number;
- Contain the full name and ID number of all the Authorised Officials;
- Clearly state the specific authority delegated to the Authorised Officials; and
- Contain the provisions quoted below
“The Luno business account, including any Luno products or services related to the account, will not be operated by any person that is resident (whether permanently or temporarily) in the United States or its territories, nor shall the account be managed, directed or controlled by any U.S Person, such as a corporation or partnership organised or incorporated under the laws of the United States nor any trust, of which any trustee is resident (whether permanently or temporarily) in the United States or its territories.”
“We confirm that the identity of any person that has effective control or influence of the company is contained in the constituent documents, or has otherwise been disclosed to Luno during the application process.”
“The Luno business account will not be operated, managed, directed or controlled by any person or any beneficial owner of the person who is/are bearer share entity(ies) or who can issue or hold bearer shares.”
8. Authorised Officials and Directors
What we need: A signed and dated list naming all Authorised Officials and Directors, including their:
- Identification number;
- Contact details (phone number and email address); and
- Residential and mailing address.
9. Proof of identity
What we need: A certified true copy of a government-issued, clear, colour ID card (both sides) for all of the following persons:
- Individuals with direct or indirect shareholding of at least 25% of the entity and intermediary beneficial owners (e.g. parent company and corporate shareholders), where relevant; and
- Authorised signatories / authorised persons, where relevant.
Note: If the ID document does not reflect residential/mailing address, please provide a proof of address containing at least the full name and the residential address. All documents provided as a proof of address must be issued within the last 3 months. Read more about acceptable proof of residence documents.
10. Bank account registration number
What we need: Kindly confirm which registration number (new or old) was used to open the business’s bank account.
11. Portrait / selfie
What we need: A clear portrait or selfie of all Authorised Officials on the account. The photo will be used strictly for identity verification and internal security protocols.
Guidelines:
- A clear, front-facing shot (a smartphone selfie against a plain background is perfectly acceptable)
- Please ensure the official is not wearing sunglasses or a hat
Sole Proprietorship requirements
1. Nature of business (and website)
What we need: A description of what your business does and how it generates revenue. If the company has a website, please also provide the URL.
2. SST number
What we need: If the business has registered for Sales and Services Tax, kindly provide the business’s SST number.
3. Business registration
What we need: A certified true or duly notarised copy (not older than 3 months) of one of the following:
- Latest Business Registration Form D; or
- Business Registration Information Form; or
- Other business registration issued by local councils.
4. Operating address
What we need: A recent utility bill reflecting the business’s operating address (not older than 3 months), if different to the registered address.
5. Confirmation of authority
What we need: A certified true copy of a confirmation of authority or mandate, signed by the sole proprietor, that confirms which individuals have authority to act on behalf of the business and operate the Luno account. These individuals are known as the Authorised Officials.

Detailed requirements:
The confirmation of authority must:
- Be signed and dated by the sole proprietor;
- State that it is a formal confirmation of authority or mandate;
- Contain the business’s full name and registration number;
- Contain the full name and ID number of all the Authorised Officials;
- Clearly state the specific authority delegated to the Authorised Officials; and
- Contain the provisions quoted below
“The Luno business account, including any Luno products or services related to the account, will not be operated by any person that is resident (whether permanently or temporarily) in the United States or its territories, nor shall the account be managed, directed or controlled by any U.S Person, such as a corporation or partnership organised or incorporated under the laws of the United States nor any trust, of which any trustee is resident (whether permanently or temporarily) in the United States or its territories.”

6. Proof of identity
What we need: A certified true copy of the government-issued, clear, colour ID card (both sides) for the following persons:
- The Sole Proprietor; and
- Authorised Officials, where relevant.
7. Authorised Official and Sole Proprietor details
What we need: A signed list confirming the following for each Authorised Official and the Sole Proprietor:
- Residential and mailing address; and
- Phone number and email address.
8. Bank account registration number
What we need: Kindly confirm which registration number (new or old) was used to open the business’s bank account.
9. Portrait / selfie
What we need: A clear portrait or selfie of all Authorised Officials on the account. The photo will be used strictly for identity verification and internal security protocols.
Guidelines:

Partnership requirements
1. Nature of business (and website)
What we need: A description of what your business does and how it generates revenue. If the Partnership has a website, please also provide the URL.
2. SST number
What we need: If the business has registered for Sales and Services Tax, kindly provide the business’s SST number.
3. Business registration
What we need: Certified true or duly notarised copies of the following:
- Latest Business Registration Form D; and
- Business Registration Information Form.
4. Operating address
What we need: A recent utility bill reflecting the business’s operating address (not older than 3 months), if different to the registered address.
5. Partnership mandate
What we need: A certified true copy of a Partnership Mandate relating to the opening and ongoing operation of the Luno account, that confirms which individuals have authority to act on behalf of the Partnership. These individuals are known as the Authorised Officials.

The mandate must:
- Be signed and dated by all Partners;
- State that it is a formal Partnership Mandate;
- Contain the Partnership’s full name and registration number;
- Contain the full name and ID number of all the Authorised Officials;
- Clearly state the specific authority delegated to the Authorised Officials, in relation to the opening and ongoing operation of the Luno account; and
- Contain the provisions quoted below

8. Bank account registration number
What we need: Kindly confirm which registration number (new or old) was used to open the Partnership’s bank account.
9. Portrait / selfie
What we need: A clear portrait or selfie of all Authorised Officials on the account. The photo will be used strictly for identity verification and internal security protocols.

Trust / Legal Arrangement requirements
1. Nature of business (and website)
What we need: A description of what your Trust does and how it generates revenue. If the Trust has a website, please also provide the URL.
2. Trust deed
What we need: A certified true copy of the Trust deed.
3. Trust registration
What we need: A certified true copy of the Trust registration document.
4. Resolution
What we need: A certified true copy of a Trustee resolution signed by the trustees that confirms which individuals have authority to act on behalf of the Trust in relation to the Luno Business account. These individuals are known as the Authorised Officials.

- State it is a trustees’ resolution;
- Contain the Trust’s full name and identifying number;
- Contain the full name and ID number of all the Authorised Officials;
- Clearly state the specific authority delegated to the Authorised Officials; and
- Contain the provisions quoted below

5. Proof of identity
What we need: A certified true copy of the government-issued, colour ID card for each of the following persons:
- Authorised Officials;
- Trust Protectors; and
- Other natural person exercising control over the Trust (if any).
6. Addresses and contact details
What we need: Confirmation of residential address and mailing address, and contact details (email address and phone number) for each of the following persons: Founder/Settlor, Trustees, Named Beneficiaries, Trust Protectors, Authorised Officials, and any other natural person exercising control over the Trust.
7. Bank account confirmation
What we need: A bank account confirmation letter issued to the Trust reflecting the Trust’s name and registration number. Alternatively, kindly confirm which registration number (new or old) was used to open the Trust’s bank account.
8. Portrait / selfie
What we need: A clear portrait or selfie of all Authorised Officials on the account. The photo will be used strictly for identity verification and internal security protocols.

Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) requirements
1. Nature of business (and website)
What we need: A description of what your business does and how it generates revenue. If the company has a website, please also provide the URL.

What we need: If the business has registered for Sales and Services Tax, kindly provide the business’s SST number.
3. LLP registration
What we need: A certified true copy of the Notice of Registration from the Registrar of LLP.
4. LLP Agreement
What we need: A certified true copy of the LLP Agreement.
5. Corporate profile
What we need: The latest Corporate Profile extracted from Companies Commission Malaysia (SSM).
6. Operating address
What we need: A recent utility bill reflecting the business’s operating address (not older than 3 months), if different to the registered address.
7. LLP Mandate
What we need: A certified true copy of the LLP Mandate Form for the opening and ongoing operation of a Luno account, that confirms which individuals have authority to act on behalf of the LLP. These individuals are known as the Authorised Officials.
