Exercising your personal data rights

You have rights over your personal data. These include the right to ask for a copy of your data, to correct your data and in some circumstances to ask us to delete it. The exact rights available to you depend on where you are located and the Luno entity providing our services to you.

Do you need to make a data rights request?

You might find an easier or quicker answer to your question elsewhere:

Making a request

Requests relating to your personal data rights can be made by submitting a request using our Help Centre form.

We will process your request once we have verified your identity or, if you are submitting a request on behalf of the data subject, verified your authority to act on their behalf.

Access requests

To help us process your request quickly, please be as specific as possible about the specific records of personal data you are looking for.

Erasure requests

Please be aware that we may not be able to grant your request where we have a legal obligation or legitimate business reason for retaining personal data.

If you have an active account with us, we must retain your data to manage our ongoing relationship and provide you with our services. Additionally, even after your account is closed, we are required to keep certain records for a set period of time to comply with statutory and regulatory obligations and for legitimate business reasons.

We will of course be happy to erase or anonymise personal information we aren’t legally required to keep (for example your app usage data).
