Our Bank transfer (also known as EFT) deposit method allows for our Australian customers to deposit money directly into their Luno wallets. These deposits could be instant, but the speed depends on your bank. Once we know a little bit more about you (aka verifying your identity), you can deposit money into your AUD wallet in a few easy steps.
Here’s how to make a deposit
Sign in to the Luno app, select Wallets, then Deposit on your AUD wallet. When there, follow these steps:

From the selection choose Bank Transfer

Enter the amount you'd like to deposit

Next, you’ll see a BSB and an account number - these are personalised for you. Whenever you make a deposit to Luno, please use these details

Log in to your banking app and make a deposit using the bank details provided
You may leave the reference field empty -
Funds can take anywhere from a few seconds up to 2 business days to appear in your AUD wallet. This is dependent on your financial institution

Once funds have arrived in your wallet, you’re good to go to use Luno to buy Bitcoin in Australia

Frequently asked questions
There are no fees on deposits AUD 50 and above. Deposits below AUD 50 will incur a slight small-deposit charge.
This depends on your bank. If your bank is on the NPP (New Payments Platform), deposits may be instant. In some instances, even if your bank is on the NPP, your bank may have daily limits in place and deposits above those limits will take up to 2 business days. You may be able to increase these limits by speaking to your bank.
