How do I instantly buy cryptocurrency in the UK?

If you’re a Luno customer in the UK, you can buy cryptocurrency directly with your card, without having to deposit pounds first.

Here's how

  1. From the Portfolio screen, select the wallet where you’d like to instantly buy cryptocurrency

  2. Then, select the Buy option

  3. On the next screen, select ADD NEW CARD

  4. Enter your card details. We support Visa or Mastercard

  5. Once done, select SAVE CARD DETAILS

  6. On the next screen, enter the amount you’d like to buy, and select NEXT

  7. You’ll see a confirmation screen. If you’re happy, select CONFIRM

  8. Next you’ll need to enter your 4-digit Luno PIN. If you have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled, you’ll be prompted to enter your 6-digit 2FA code

  9. Lastly, you’ll be redirected to our payment provider Checkout.com, and if you’ve successfully followed the 3D-secure prompts, your payment will be processed

To cover the high risk of fraud associated with card transactions, we may intermittently reduce these buy limits.

Yes. The monthly limit of up to £5,000 is for using card only. If you cannot instantly buy with your card, you can also continue using our other available deposit methods, like bank transfers.
