Once you’ve joined Luno, you’ll be able to buy, sell, store, send and receive Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. If you haven't already, the steps in this article will help you sign up for a Luno account.
To sign up for a Luno account
On the mobile app
Download the Luno app from the Google Play or App Store
Select Profile from the menu
Tap Sign in, and on the next screen, CREATE ACCOUNT
Follow the prompts from there to sign up
Once you’ve signed up, we’ll send you an email with a link to confirm that you have access to the email address you’ve signed up with.
On the web
Go to www.luno.com and select the CREATE ACCOUNT button in the top right corner of the home page
Enter your email address
Create a strong, secure password
Select LET'S GO
Note
Your password must contain more than 8 characters, at least 1 symbol & number, and at least 1 uppercase letter.
Keep in Mind
We don’t accept Gmail, Hotmail, or Outlook addresses that contain "." (period) or "+" characters in the email prefix (the part before the @). For example:
- your.email@gmail.com 🚫
- youremail+alias@gmail.com 🚫
- youremail@gmail.com ✅
If your email wasn’t accepted, simply remove any "." or "+" characters from the prefix, and it should work.
Gmail, Hotmail, and Outlook ignore periods in the email prefix. This means that your.email@gmail.com and youremail@gmail.com are considered the same inbox.
Tip
If you don’t see the email in your inbox, check your spam folder. If you find the email there, you may want to add Luno to your address book to ensure that you never miss notifications from us.
