Frequently asked questions
What costs are involved?
You’ll pay a transaction cost when you buy crypto. This is a dynamic cost that varies depending on how much you’re buying and what the current market conditions are. We’ll show you the exact transaction cost before you confirm any transaction.
How much should I buy?
That’s completely up to you. At Luno, we don’t provide financial or investment advice. Consider how much or how little you’re personally comfortable spending and don’t invest any money that you can’t afford to lose.
Which crypto should I buy?
The choice is yours. Each cryptocurrency has its own unique characteristics. You could focus on one or spread your funds out across many cryptocurrencies with multibuy, which enables you to buy multiple coins with one transaction.
So I’ve bought crypto. What should I do with it?
There are multiple options available, and the choice is up to you. You can:
Buy some more crypto at a later date (or set up a repeat buy to do this for you automatically)
- Stake it (not available in all countries)
Sell it any time (you can also create price alerts to notify you when it hits a certain price)
Send some to a friend
Or you can simply sit back and leave it
