When making an EFT deposit to your ZAR wallet, if you bank with ABSA, Standard Bank, Nedbank or TymeBank, we've made things a little easier for you. Just search for “Luno” under “Public Beneficiaries”, instead of manually entering our bank details. With FNB, you'll have to set up Luno manually as a beneficiary (see below).

Please only reach out to us if you haven’t used your unique reference number (starting with BX or LN), or if it’s been longer than 2 business days and your deposit isn’t reflecting yet.
The reference number in the images below is not your unique reference number. Your own unique reference number is displayed to you when you select Deposit, then Bank transfer from your ZAR wallet.
Making an EFT deposit to your ZAR wallet from your Standard Bank account is easy. Just follow these steps:

Log in to your online banking or mobile banking app

Navigate to Pay
-
On the Pay screen, select Add new beneficiary

On the next screen, select A bank-approved company
-
In the search field, type “Luno”, and select LUNO from the search results

Enter (or paste if you’ve copied it from your Luno account) your unique reference number (starting with BX or LN) in both the Their reference and My reference fields, and then select Review

Navigate to Pay, select “Luno” from your beneficiaries, and follow the prompts to make an EFT deposit to your ZAR wallet
Making an EFT deposit to your ZAR wallet from your ABSA account is easy. Just follow these steps:

Log in to your online banking or mobile banking app

Navigate to Pay

Select the Pay New Beneficiary option

Then select the Pay A Bill option (at the top right of the screen)

In the Choose Listed Beneficiary field, type “Luno”, and then select Luno PTY LTD

Enter (or paste if you’ve copied it from your Luno account) your unique reference number (starting with BX or LN) in both the Bill account number and Reference for my statement fields, and in the Account holder's name field, fill in your name and surname

Select Next to confirm the beneficiary information, then Continue to successfully add Luno

Navigate back to Pay, select “Luno” from your beneficiaries, and follow the prompts to make an EFT deposit to your ZAR wallet
Making an EFT deposit to your ZAR wallet from your FNB account is easy. Just follow these steps:

Log in to your online banking or mobile banking app

Navigate to Payments

On the Pay recipient screen, select Add

On the next screen, under Recipient details, the toggle should be on An Account

Enter Luno’s bank details, your unique reference number (starting with BX or LN) in both the Recipient reference and Own reference fields, and then select Add recipient

Making an EFT deposit to your ZAR wallet from your Nedbank account is easy. Just follow these steps:

Log in to your online banking or mobile banking app

Navigate to Pay

Select Single payment

In the Recipient name field, select the Search Recipients icon

In Search, select Bank-approved, and type “Luno” in the search field

Select “LUNO” from the search results, and then Next

Enter the amount you’d like to pay into your ZAR wallet

Enter (or paste if you’ve copied it from your Luno account) your unique reference number (starting with BX or LN) in both the Your reference and Their reference fields, and select Next

Follow the prompts to complete your EFT deposit
Making an EFT deposit to your ZAR wallet from your TymeBank account is easy. Just follow these steps:

Log in to your online banking or mobile banking app

On the Home screen, select My Beneficiaries and then Add a beneficiary

Enter Luno's Standard Bank account details and your unique reference number (starting with BX or LN). Select Add and then Confirm

Once added, select your Luno beneficiary and then Pay

Enter the amount you'd like to deposit and select Confirm and pay

Lastly, enter your OTP and you're all done
