Capitec and Absa customers will not be able to make EFT deposits to Luno. You can still fund your account using any of these alternate payment options:
Capitec Pay
In the Luno app, you can link your Capitec account via Stitch, enabling you to make secure, instant deposits of up to R150,000 through Capitec Pay.
To get started, open your ZAR wallet, select DEPOSIT, then choose Instant deposit (or select your previously linked bank account if you’ve already done this before).

Absa Pay
For Absa customers, payments are processed instantly using Absa’s secure Pay by Bank system, and authentication takes place directly through your Absa banking app. Each time you make a deposit, you’ll receive a push notification in your Absa app to confirm the payment. After your first successful deposit, future payments can be authorised with just one tap.

Buy crypto directly with your card
Select BUY from the quick action menu on your Home or Portfolio screen. When asked how you’d like to pay for your chosen cryptocurrency, choose a previously linked card or select New credit or debit card.
Note
Buying crypto with your card is not currently available for Absa customers.

Make an EFT deposit from a different bank
Bank transfers still work normally from all other South African banks. If you hold an account at another bank, feel free to make your EFT deposit to Luno from there.
