When placing an order in the Luno exchange, the fees are displayed on the BUY or SELL screen.
Luno's trading fees are based on a "maker-taker" model. The fee you pay depends on how much you’ve traded over the past 30 days and the type of order you place. The two types of orders are maker or taker orders.
Maker Orders are orders that don't execute immediately because your order sits in the market, waiting for someone to match it. For example, if you place a limit order to buy Bitcoin at a price lower than the current market price, it becomes a maker order.
Taker Orders are orders that execute immediately by matching existing orders in the order book, taking an existing order off the market. For instance, if you place a market order to buy Bitcoin at the best available price, it's a taker order.
